18 of California’s 58 counties reopen certain industries with restrictions

New guidelines for reopening the economy were released by the state of California on May 12. Under those guidelines for entering Phase 2 of the state’s reopening plan, roughly 30% of the state’s counties have been given the green light to let certain businesses resume operation – under certain health safety restrictions.

Retailers are permitted to offer curbside pickup service, office workers that cannot work from home can return to their workplaces, childcare facilities can open back up, as well as car washes, pet groomers, landscapers, manufacturers, and logistics companies.

Dine-in restaurant services remain forbidden and shopping malls remain locked down.
