Tourism-dependent states to be hit hardest, reports suggest

 

An analysis released by IHS Markit projects that the steepest coronavirus-related declines in employment rates will be in states like Nevada (estimated -9.8%) and Florida (estimated -7.9%) where the economies depend most heavily on travel and tourism.

While all states will see employment declines, IHS Markit predicts that rural states will be largely insulated from the brunt of the impact.
