At Become, we prioritize your privacy and are committed to ensuring your personal information is protected. This Privacy Policy outlines how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard the personal data you provide through our Become application (“the App”). It also details how you can contact us with any concerns or questions regarding your information. Terms not defined in this Privacy Policy have the meanings given to them in our Terms and Conditions.

By interacting with Become and submitting your Application Information through the App, you consent to the collection, storage, use, and disclosure of your information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

Types of Information We Collect

Personal Information: This refers to data that can identify a specific individual, such as gender, birth date, marital status, professional experience, education, or credit card details.

We collect Personal Information to provide our services effectively. This includes:

  • Your full name, gender, birth date, place of birth, place of residence, profession, and professional experience.
  • Social security number and other details provided in your Application Information.
  • Information from Funding Providers regarding your funding application, such as approval status, funding amount, and dates.

We may also use third-party services to obtain statements (“Third Party Service”). By choosing to use these services, we may retain the statements provided.

The App allows you to aggregate information from third-party platforms like Facebook, Amazon, and Google, which may contain business-related data (e.g., inventory, sales, marketing budget). Access to this data requires your consent through the platform’s interface (“Third Party Data”).

Additionally, we collect Personal Information when you contact us for support or queries. Providing this information is voluntary, but refusal may limit your access to our services. If you provide Personal Information about others, you must have their consent.

When you use the App, we may automatically gather technical information about your device and usage.

How We Protect Information

We follow industry standards to protect Personal Information during transmission and storage. This includes secure computer storage, hard copy files, and other records. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Upon written request, we will delete any Personal Information provided by a user. Deleted information cannot be restored.

How We Use Information

We are not a government agency, financial institution, or direct funding provider. Our role is to connect small businesses with funding providers.

We share your Application Information with third-party Funding Providers to help you receive conditional offers. If you opt to use the App for Third Party Data, we share this information as well. If multiple Funding Providers find you eligible, you can choose which one(s) to proceed with.

We use Personal Information internally to diagnose issues, improve our App and Services, and personalize your experience. We may share your Personal Information with our corporate family, vendors, service providers, and Funding Providers.

Third-party products or services on our App may involve sharing your information with those partners. We do not control the privacy practices of these partners, and you should contact them directly for privacy concerns.

We may share aggregated Statistical Information with partners to understand user trends and improve services, without linking it to individuals.

Cookies

We use cookies to personalize your experience and save settings. Most browsers accept cookies by default, but you can change settings to refuse cookies or be notified when they are sent. Some features may not function properly without cookies.

Use of the App/Services by Children

We retain your information as long as your account is active or needed to provide services. You can request to stop using your information by contacting us.

Subcontractors may access your information under strict confidentiality agreements. If we sell our business, databases containing Personal Information may be transferred.
