Restaurant owners say the PPP wasn’t helpful, push for a Restaurant Act

The PPP closed its application period yesterday, August 8. As Congressional leaders continue to debate where the PPP will go from here, restaurant owners across the country are voicing their concerns regarding the lack of help they got from the PPP.

Many restaurant owners say the PPP was of no help, and that a reopening of the program would do little to nothing for them since their major expenses aren’t payroll-related. In response, the National Restaurant Association has designed a blueprint for what they call the Restaurant Act – an initiative they hope Congress will take action on.
