Members of Congress are reportedly close to striking a deal that would allocate another $310 billion for the Paycheck Protection Program. Of that amount, $60 billion would be earmarked specifically for rural and minority groups.

Aside from the PPP, reports also say that an additional $60 billion will be injected into the Economic Injury Disaster Loan (EIDL) program operated by the Small Business Administration (SBA).

President Trump also recently stated that future relief packages will include more aid for state and local governments – something that has been the main point of contention between Democratic and Republican congressional leaders in their efforts to pass the relief bill in question.
