New bill calls for $2,000 per month for every American

Democratic representatives Tim Ryan and Ro Khanna have introduced a new bill to Congress by the name of the Emergency Money for the People Act.
If passed, this act would provide a monthly payment of $2,000 for every American older than 16 years of age – until employment levels return to where they were before the outbreak.
The new bill would also allow Americans to receive the funds through a variety of means, including direct deposit, a pre-paid debit card, and other non-traditional means such as Venmo, PayPal.
