Massachusetts small businesses get more government relief

Massachusetts Governor Charlie Baker recently announced proposals to increase funding for COVID-19 relief efforts throughout the state. Those proposed changes include an added $35 million in community development for small businesses and grants for micro-businesses.

Lt. Gov. Karyn Polito also commented on the new proposals, stating that they will give preference to businesses owned by women, veterans, immigrants, or minorities – as well as businesses based in low-income areas.
