Illinois announces $900 million of COVID relief, including business grants

The governor of Illinois, J.B. Pritzker, announced the launching of a new set of programs for Illinoisans to access coronavirus financial aid. According to the governor’s office, the majority of those funds (at least $540 million) will be provided to small businesses in the form of grants.
