Arkansas Ready for Business grant program increases authorized spending to $147.7M

The program to help small businesses in Arkansas overcome the financial burden of coronavirus shutdowns started less than two weeks ago with a mere $15 million to spend.

As discussions among legislative leaders continued, two more cash injections into the Arkansas Ready for Business grant program have been made. The most recent addition ($92.7 million) was approved by the Arkansas Legislative Council on May 8, bringing the total to $147.7 million.
